building a hot soak tank for engine parts cleaning--any recommendations for the caustic mix or brand of cleaning solution---thanks-DON

I've had good results using Red Devil lye .
I used a heavy duty plastic storage bin and a 1500 watt immersion heater just for doing stuff like heads and manifolds . Since its water based it can be left to evaporate leaving only the solids to dispose of.
