They will all come out legal. Nobody would take the chance to protest if they weren't.

Yeah I thought this was odd too.

I have to wonder if the public complaints on here from JDM about the Ford rep played a role in this as Don Carson is JDM's customer and the other guys are close to the Ford guy. If the online dispute made the Ford camp look bad this throws gas on that fire.

Have there been any Copo's protesting Copo's or Drag Packs against each other in the past?

Well according to Larry everyone's through.I guess all involved in the"CJ 3 way" are satisfied, and are able to race on Sunday (in this case Saturday). If anyone has any hard
feelings it can be settled in the Octagon,NHRA can sell tickets.... gsa612

Like Patsy said everyone made it through tear down. Also, to set the record straight on the COPO intake. I ask Dave Ley about it and he said he sealed the motor and that is the way it came to tear down, completely intact. The reason the COPO was late to tear down, they were running Super Stock.

Be back later with photos.

The other cars were pick by NHRA with a normal tear down, heads, intake, carb, bore stroke and cam. With Permission from the owners I was able to get some photos.

The other tear down contestants...

Steven Welker
Larry Gilley
Paul Wong
Mike Loge
Jim Hale
Luke Ubelhor
How long have them been using the onsite barn and tents for tear downs at Indy? I assume this started when they went to the reduced number of teardowns in recent (modern) times?

Last time we were in that barn/garage was in the 70's or 80's at a points meet.

Just curious. Ha ha.. most of those cobra jet guys are too old to be pulling rods and pistons.

Thanks for the great pictures, makes it almost like being there!
