My info about the stage lock came from Trey Capps and Olan Gotcher on Saturday afternoon after having a really bogus run. I do not go around to 10-20 different people to see what they thought about how things work. I went to the source. Afterwards they (NHRA) decided that they cannot rely on the stage lock system to function properly and turned it off for the remainder of this race.

I do not know who Olan is but I assume he is the track manager or track someone. I would not consider either the expert on the timing system. We need the name of someone with the company who manufactures the system being used. Not all the tracks use the same system from what I have been told. Only someone with the manufacturer can give us a true picture of what happens with the program. I am not arguing one way or the other but I would like to know what to expect at all the tracks. I have had those funky runs before also and I just trash them and move on. Only NHRA can mandate to use or not to use the stage lock. Like I said earlier I am not sure it is even available to all the tracks to use depending on their system. I would just like to know somewhat to expect before going to the starting line.
