So as I understand it, this rule omits any driver at a national event UNDER the age of 18. And as you can imagine, the sight of Tanner Gray rewriting the rulebook has been a little more than discouraging for many kids waiting or had to wait, my daughter and many of her friends Dan Young, Hannah Line etc. So we are, by this rule, hung out to dry for 1 year. Now that may not seem like a big deal, but these kids will not continue to race full time, as my previous example Dan Young is already missing races due to school and career building, so they miss that year and the NHRA has to HOPE they don't find another hobby between now and later in life when money and time free up.

Per NHRA:
Minimum age rule for national event competitors
1/14/2013
"A reminder that, all competitors at NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events are required to be 18 years of age or older. The rule went into effect in 2008 as part of the Master Settlement Agreement, which was reached in 1998 between states and the tobacco industry.

This policy includes any driver in the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series or the NHRA Summit Racing Series held in conjunction with NHRA Mello Yellow Drag Racing Series events. Drivers must be a minimum 18 or older by the first day of registration at the event".
I am familiar with this but I understood that they had relaxed that to allow as I stated in my above post. Maybe you should contact Glendora about it. It couldn't hurt. We allow racers who become 18 anytime in the current race season. Only makes sense. Jim

Last minute decision to hit test and tune today so last night we moved the shifter back since I had a PM from a forum member as well as a friend tell me it wasn't popping out of gear she was pulling it out when the car launched, we also took some base out of the clutch. Well the good news is she was pulling it out of gear so thats fixed, clutch is still grabbing good and we still have to add weight to be legal so we'll see how the glutch behaves next time out with more weight. Test-n-tune was packed so that didn't help any, the first run we set the leave rpm at a lowly 4600 and I set the shift light at 6400, launched good but drug the motor down just a tad, wheels in the air about 2 feet 1.48 60' and 7.45 to the 1/8. Sat in the staging lanes for 2+ hours for the second run, set launch at 4800 and it blew the tires off, came back and the right rear was going flat, so we called it a day. Shifter is now in the furthest position back as you can see in the pic.

Made a trip to Thursday night TNT tonight, still too much clutch and need to work on the chassis. Two shots with the two step at 4800 resulted in the same traction issues. She stayed with it on this one just to make a full pass, this is 100lb light for "H" and the 60' is .40 slower than the best.

Pretty good mph, all things considered. Once you get the early numbers to come around, you'll be in good shape.

"Car is set to run 11.40's at 116/117 mph Tweaked it has run 11.26 120 mph running in I (3470 lbs)."
That's what I was told when I bought it, judging from current info I would say it's fairly accurate. I'm kind of surprised it ran 117 with mufflers and an air cleaner but maybe those things don't make that much difference.
