which remote oil filter
Picked up a Dart Iron Eagle SBC block for a bracket motor. Going to put it in my 67 Firebird to bracket race for a while...
This block requires a remote filter - no stock filter pad. What is the best way to go here? I don't mind spending a little more for the right thing, but don't want to just waste money either. Suggestions for best mounting point on a 1st gen. F body? thanks, Ken |

Re: which remote oil filter
Canton makes a good one, I prefer the 13/16" thread version that uses a Chevrolet filter, and try to mount them so that I can use a PF932 2 quart filter. I use -12 braided hose, and full flow fittings.

Re: which remote oil filter
CV Products makes a great remote oil filter mount. CV746 is what you need.

Re: which remote oil filter
I use a Moroso 23766 remote Adapter with -12 lines in and out. I mounted it on the radiator bracket in front. It uses an HP6 frame filter that holds almost two quarts. Mine is a dry sump application.
