Chick Ross Recovery Fund
Chick Ross Recovery Fund
Our friend and Top Sportsman racer Chick Ross of New Hampshire was badly injured in a crash & fire at Atco last Thursday during a test session before the NHRA National Open. He's in a burn unit and had his first skin graft surgery today. He will be in the hospital at least a month. Chick is one of the greatest people I've ever met (not just in this sport, either..) and he is going to need all the help he can get during his recovery. I have set up the Chick Ross Recovery Fund as a vehicle to get donations to Chick and his family to help defray their expenses during this period. You can make donations payable to 'Chick Ross Recovery Fund'. Please send donations to: Bank of America Chick Ross Recovery Fund c/o Barbara Gibson 400 East Main St. Meriden CT 06450 As they say in November, Vote Early and Vote Often. Racers are the greatest bunch I know and I know this will help. Please pass this email around and if you have access to a website please post the information if you think it will help. Last note, credit where credit is due. I never knew how to set up an account like this, and when I went to my bank (Bank of America) they were extraordinarily helpful in getting this done. They deserve thanks for their helpfulness. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! William I Horton CPCU Personal Lines Manager Stone Insurance Group (203) 238 7400 x233 (203) 630 6370 fax |

Greg:
I do not know Chick personally (although i have seen him at the races). I hope he recovers quickly. I know from personal experience how painful and long the recovery is from burns. I severely burned my ankle when i was a freshman in high school. The road to recovery is an incredibly painful and long one! this racer needs our prayers aand assistance. I have just sent a $100 check to help the family and Chick with his recovery. I encourage every racer to donate what they can afford and help this local racer. I remember barrel rolling a friend's car at Atco ( a few years ago) and although i was unhurt, You and your son were the first to help me! Please keep all of us posted on Chick's recovery, Dean dean ribeiro |

I don't think it would be that hard to set up a paypal account and I would guess there would be a lot more donations. Mostly because of how easy it would be.
