2016 TSSSSA Preview
2016 TSSSSA Preview
As stated previously, we have just concluded the biggest and best season ever in the TSSSSA's nineteen year existence. Our average car count for the eight races was thirty-five cars (285 total cars raced with us). I do not foresee any major changes in our Series for the 2016 season, after three consecutive years of upward movement. I have heard very little complaints of the way we do things; the ladder deal not withstanding, which was unanimously voted to remain reaction-time based. The only other issue that had ever been mentioned to me is the lack of scales/fuel check/heads-up Class runs/true qualifying, which is unable to be done. But, I always like to hear what the racers think; if there are any things we can do to even better the Series for this coming season. So if there is anything, please feel free to post below or e-mail me at buffdaddy_1302@hotmail.com . You can also drop me a line there to get signed up for our monthly E-Mail Newsletter. Ideally, the schedule will remain the same for next year (8-9 race season), with three races each at Quaker City and Pittsburgh, plus the two annual races at Hagerstown. We were approached this past season by another track wanting to host us for 2016; I am hoping to hear from them soon. H-town will remain two days/two races, but we may make Saturday a non-points event, to leave us a make-up/rain date, if needed. If we do, both races will count for points if a rain date is needed. I think that is about all. Any input, please feel free to send it to me. Thank you. Mike Carr Tri-State Stock/Super Stock Association, President (724) 510-5912

Re: 2016 TSSSSA Preview
Some 2016 news:
Our annual season-ending events will once again take place at Mason-Dixon Dragway in Hagerstown Maryland Sat-Sun November 5-6, 2016. Two races, one each day ($50 entry Saturday and $100 Sunday). And, for the seventh consecutive year, it will pay at least $2,000 or more to win on Sunday 11/6. Also, it is likely (not yet set in stone) we will have a double May 28-29 at Quaker City Motorsports Park in Salem OH as we've had the past five years. One race each day, $100 entry Saturday and $50 Sunday.

One comment.
Have the Tracks provide Trophies for Winner, Runner up and Best Package. They have them in stock. All they need is what to put on the label. Dan |

Re: 2016 TSSSSA Preview
Some Tri-State Stock/Super Stock Association schedule news:
~Saturday-Sunday September 24-25 at Pittsburgh Raceway Park for the annual PID/Keystone Reunion Nostalgia weekend. Saturday 9/24 race will be the 6th Annual Carl Schodde-Bob Butter Memorial race ($100 entry) and $50 entry race on Sunday 9/25. ~Saturday-Sunday May 28-29 at Quaker City Motorsports Park for two races. $100 entry Sat 5/28 and $50 Sun 5/29. This is not 100% for sure, but should be set this week. ~The Annual Mason-Dixon S/SS Fall Classic, Mason-Dixon Dragway in Hagerstown MD November 5-6. $50 entry Sat 11/5 and $100 entry Sun 11/6; the Sunday race will be, for the seventh year in a row, at least $2,000 (or more) to win. Other races will be announced soon. Likely an eight or nine race schedule. Probably one more race each (single $100 races) at QC and PRP for eight races. Maybe a double at QC; that would make nine races.
