Re: Ground up build Chevelle
Here are some more from the paint shop. Also did a complete restoration on the dash and found a reproduction radio delete plate.
And yes this one is gonna have some power. We will be running the 396/325 rated at 320. Unlike most of the 66's in class this one will be a E-F/SA

Re: Ground up build Chevelle
These are the body when it came back from powder coat. inside outside and upside down! easier than paint and a ready made sealant.

Re: Ground up build Chevelle
It is going to be to pretty to race....LOL great story keep it coming.
Have been married for 36 years (yes to same woman) took her out on first date in my 1966 Chevelle Malibu 300 (2 door post). It came with 283 and glide, pulled that out and bought a 396/375 and put it in there. Sure do miss that car and on my bucket list is to find another one someday and put it together like the car on our first date. Beautiful build keep us updated. |

Re: Ground up build Chevelle
Here are are some cool photos....
The chassis as a roller and the body separate... Then made whole.... The advantage of having a lift at home is priceless here. Up and down and still gotta go up and down to put the rollbar in for the last time.
