'65 Ford Mustang Super Stock 'L' Drag Car
NHRA Legal C.F.O. 289 engine with: Kuntz & Co. heads, Edelbrock/Hogan Super Victor intake, Crower rods, Custom solid roller cam, T&D shaft rockers, Aussie power parts camshaft belt drive system, Custom full sump aluminum oil pan with Moroso Accusump system, A.T.I. balancer, CSR water pump, new aluminum radiator.
Custom-made 1 7/8” headers with merge collectors with tether system. M.S.D. crank trigger 7AL2 controller with 2 step and pro-power coil, and Ford Motorsports distributor. Jerico 4-speed transmission, McLeod soft-loc clutch, Lakewood scattershield, Hurst Vertigate 2 shifter, Ford Racing mini-starter. Ford 9” rear end 6:00 pro gears, Mark Williams axles and spool, Dyno Tech aluminum driveshaft. Calvert mono leaf spring rear suspension with ladder bars, QA1 adjustable rear shocks, Calvert roller front suspension and shocks, Strange front brakes and master cylinder, Wilwood rear disks, Hurst line lock. Bogart wheels, M/T 29.5 x 10.5 W x 15” slicks. Full chromoly cage with swing-out bar, R.C.I. aluminum seats. Autometer tach and gauges with data system. FAST! Fun to drive, and very capable of setting the national record! Has gone 10.47 at sea level and 10.63 in the Midwest. 1.40 60 ft. time. Always ran in bracket mode, never set on ‘kill’.
