The BIGGEST and BEST All-Ford Event of the Year! The 17th Annual Nitto Tire NMRA World Finals, October 1-4 at Beech Bend Raceway Park, Bowling Green, KY features new events, celebrities and more!
The world's largest all-Ford drag race is going to be even bigger and better this year! The 17th Annual Nitto Tire NMRA All-Ford World Finals taking place October 1-4 at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, KY, will be bursting at the seams as the nation's best Ford- powered racers gather one final time in celebration of all things Ford. This year's final event of the NMRA Keystone Automotive Ford Nationals will rip the roof off the grandstands in Bowling Green with not only championships being settled, but special events which will provide an exclamation point to a great season. For the first time ever, the NMRA will be hosting an after hours Grudge Night on Saturday, where racers can settle their score on the track with only a win light indicating the victor. Also on hand Saturday will be Chris "BoostedGT" Hamilton from the Discovery Channel's hit series "Street Outlaws" as well as 14-time NMRA Champion, Mike Murillo who is co-hosting the upcoming show "House of Grudge" on MAVTV. The excitement doesn't stop there as the weekend will also feature special races for a number of niches including the ever-growing VMP Superchargers Terminator/GT500 Shootout as well as the Henchmen Racing Turbo Coyote Shootout. New for 2015 is the Livernois Motorsports EcoBoost Battle presented by SVTperformance.com as well as a special Naturally-Aspirated Shootout which will include some of the best all-motor cars in the country. Complimenting the on-track action will be the NMRA's largest All-Ford car show of the year presented by UPR Products along with a huge all-Ford vendor midway. Meet with some of the industry's top companies like Nitto Tire, Holley, UPR Products, VP Racing Fuel, Muscle Mustang & Fast Ford magazine and more! This exciting, best-yet NMRA event will be off the chain with non-stop Ford drag racing action, an amazing weekend car show and some of the coolest Mustangs & Fords on the planet! Combine this thrilling event with the town of Bowling Green, KY, a place where automotive enthusiasts are appreciated and treated like royalty, and you have one of the coolest events on the planet. Don't be left out! WHERE NMRA CHAMPIONS ARE CROWNED! This year's NMRA Nitto Tire All-Ford World Finals once again feature several key match-ups in the battle for the 2015 championship. Racers will be using some of the best air of the season along with one of the best-prepped racing surfaces in the country to battle for points' supremacy in the heads-up classes. In VP Racing Fuels Street Outlaw, Phil Hines and John Urist will be battling for the 2015 title with their machines set on kill as they fight for this year's championship. Heading into the race, Hines holds a 190-point lead over Urist as he tries to once again capture the crown that he won in 2013, but lost to Urist by the slimmest of margins last season. Hines, known for his "never lift" approach when battling for a championship, will be doing his all to keep Urist at bay. In Edelbrock Renegade, Frank Valera, the 2014 ProCharger Coyote Modified Champion, is holding a commanding lead over last year's Renegade champion, Alton Clements, but Clements' can gain ground if Valera slips. Jimmy Wilson and Teddy Weaver are in for a final slugfest in ACT Pure Street as both naturally-aspirated drivers head to Kentucky separated by less than 300 points with Wilson holding the edge. The surprise of the year is Haley James, who in her rookie season in ProCharger Coyote Modified, has put herself atop the points' standings and has pretty much distanced herself far enough away from Johnny Lightning to coast to the championship in one the toughest classes in all of NMRA. In American Racing Headers Factory Stock, Matt Amrine has all but clinched his third consecutive title and Drew Lyons, who last year drove through one of the wildest wheelstands in recent memory, is set to wrestle this year's title away from Joe Marini and Steve Gifford. Championship implications or not, winning in Bowling Green is on every racers' mind and when it comes time for them to roll into the Aerospace Components Winner's Circle Sunday, it will be a race they never forget. The same goes for the spectators, as these match-ups will provide thrills and spills that won't be seen until next year's NMRA World Finals! Get your tickets at the gate. Thursday, gates open at 11am with Test & Tune at 1pm. Friday gates open at 9am and at 8am on Saturday and Sunday. For more info, go to the event page at www.NMRAdigital.com/KY. |
