Wow - Thats what I can say about yesterdays' combo race at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park .We were greeted by sunshine w/ blue skies - you couldn't ask for more .Temps were in the mid - sixties and the barometer at a whopping 30.24 with almost no humidity along with a vapor pressure of .16 .Couple all of that with a track that had teeth you wouldn't believe - well , you get it - they had this place rockin' as everybody was happy with the job the Raceway Park staff did in preparing the track .
Although I can't give you an exact number of entries I would estimate it to be somewhere between fifty and seventy - it was nice to see that the racers supported this venue . Congrats go out to the three finalists - Doug Linke, James Antoinette , and Jeff Roelle - these three splist the purse as the finals couldn't be run because of the Sunday time curfew . Sure wish I could have joined in on the action - broke a trans on the first hit .As a side note I was surprised a bit - Track manager John Hedenberg asked me to stop by the tower before I left which I did and got a rain check for doing so - thanks John ! ! And I didn't even have to ask .Seems they really do want us there -and we'll be back for the second event later in the season . Wish I would have stuck around to watch the round by round action but I wanted to get back and take advantage of the nice afternoon to take the Camaro apart .......But I did take a few photos in the AM . See you folks at Atco later in the week ............
