This is all very interesting. No, I am not a Stock or Super Stock racer, but I am a drag racer, a Lucas Oil Sportsman Series fan, and have good friends who compete in both classes (Stk/SStk).
I don't think permitting use of delay boxes is a good idea. The "spec" button does have some merit (for two-steps and transbrakes), but I think these categories should remain as they are--with "electronics" being strictly (well, how about a little MORE strictly) prohibited. Question...IF NHRA makes the foolish decision of permitting delay devices in these classes, what type of rule change/concession will be made for stick racers?
