Re: 2015 Rules
Lot of changes in GT, which I think only 21 cars are new cars or have new car motor combos. That is about 5%. Doesn't make sense. According to Nitro Joes' stats, 366 gone down the track in GT this year thru Sept. On the Modified thing, that is someone's personal agenda that NHRA bought. Looks like bringing the chillers to the back of staging is gone. But I thought it was gone sometime back and still allowed.

Re: 2015 Rules
It's about time! Now was that so hard? Radiators that is? maybe somebody at NHRA swoke up and the thought of someomes REAL 68 or 69 427 COPO Camaro or Hemi Cuda/Challenger popping a 40+ year old radiator and crashing a $150to200 k+ stocker along with possibly serious injury to 1 or more drivers. no brainer here ya'll

Re: 2015 Rules
I don't see to much wrong with the new classes or rules except the carb combos that naturally fall in bb/sa have to run aa/sa (wich was cc/sa)now at a 7.5 wb. or am I miss reading it?

Re: 2015 Rules
Just looked into my crystal ball and it told me aluminum radiators will cost 20% more in the near future.

Wow.
Hoped they would put the shootout engines in there own class. This kinda sucks for the normal 427 folks.

Re: 2015 Rules
I swapped an aluminum for a brass. the weight savings was minimal. The big savings was I went from a 2 core brass to a one core aluminum that took less water. That's where the real weight savings came from. The aluminum cools much better so you can get away with a single core. I think overall it saved about 10 lbs

Re: 2015 Rules
The proof of the pudding of the new rules will be the Index that the new classes will run off of. To soft an index and the only thing that will change at the 2015 US Nationals will be the letters on the cars.
