Its the old race within a race trick. For most of us the trick is getting very old very fast. Now every bye will be taken by a FS car without any application of the AHFS rules, that way the FS cars can do the same thing again in Vegas in a couple of weeks.

If the old cars dropped two or three classes (10% off), they would rule the roost. Let's get stirred up again. Good for your circulation. Or you can call 1-800-Larry Hill and get the methodology for getting your 10%. Larry is a pro. How come Larry can get 10% off 38 combinations and nobody else can?

Until people quit showing up to races with their older cars nothing will be done. What do you think NHRA would do if a national event had only a handful of the new FS cars show up? ONLY THEN would they address the problem with some type of real solution. If people keep complaining at a keyboard, and then pay their entry fees, there isn't a problem in the eyes of NHRA.

I think you missed it here. There are enough new cars out there that NHRA would get all they want at most races anyway! They really don't care about who is there, as long as we don't get in their way. Only a few big money people get any attention from them, and they have new cars when they want them. IF they need a little more filler, like due to the low comp car count, they just add a few more .90 cars. Pretty easy to fill those classes. No offense to the people with the new cars... if my lottery ticket hits, I will have a COPO shortly! ![]() BUT, I do not agree with letting the FS cars qualify on the ladder with NO worry of HP. Because of the bye runs, this is unfair, and no way to defend it... math here, not just heart strings! Ken Stock 412 |

Word is out that the new cars (2008 and up) will be in their own classes next year. It remains to be seen if nhra will do anything to correct the indexes or possibly put the FS cars in their own eliminator.
