Dragster 5452
I am new to a big block hard tail dragster. I have a 225" hardtail with a 555 cu/in motor. I use an air activated base plate stop. I launch on the two step @ 4300 rpm. First time on @ .01sec, off at 1.45sec ( 1/8 mile racing). Stop RPM approx. 4300.
My 60ft's are very inconsistent. My thoughts are to not use the two step and just leave on the converter? Change the launch RPM? Any help or tips would be appreciated. |

Re: Dragster 5452
This is a question that will get a lot of variations on your setup.
At 4300, what are your RTs on the pro-tree? How much delay? Tire pressure and size? All of these things can affect 60' times. I don't think that you can leave on the converter, with a 225" HT dragster, and keep from spinning the tires. I think 4800-5000 would be better. I have a 256" HT dragster and leave at 5200 for SC and 4500 for bracket racing. This is where a data logger system would pay for itself to sort this out in fewer runs. Dan |

Try on the stop .10-.15, not .01. Too fast.
