Are rim screws not suggested with Hoisers, by wheel manufactor or just in general by other racers?

DEFINATELY no rim screws with radials---because of the way the tire sidewalls are constructed if the tire moves and the screw breaks it will cut the bead up a recipe for disaster--- use bead locks or nothing at all-- a little slippage is normal on a radial--entirely different construction than a bias tire --ask the manufacturers or spend some time online see what is recommended

Just clean the tire and wheel's bead with acetone and mount them DRY!

Been running radial slicks since 2000 this way, 60 foot 1 teens now and the tires won't move on the rim after the first few hits

Yes, lots of good information. I never heard that about radial slicks, I'm glad I asked too. FED 387, thank you for explaining.
