Hotel advice New York City
My wife and I are going on vacation in June to NYC. I want to be in the times square area. Was going to book on priceline and stay at the holiday inn express times square. A friend said you don't want to stay there its a bad area. What hotels in times square should I be looking at? Thanks. Ed

Grand Hyatt at Grand Central on 42nd street. Was fully renovated in 2004 and MLB stays there when in town or the Westin at Grand Central, formally the Helmsley Hotel that was just renovated last year. Neither are inexpensive but you won't be disappointed.

Re: Hotel advice New York City
I've stayed at the Marriott Marquis right in Times Square. Very convenient and comfortable.

The Chatwal. Nice place, great location. Located on 44th Street between 6th and 7th Avenue. Just stayed there for 5 nights.

Try Hotwire or Priceline Just stay with a 4 star midtown and you will be fine.

Don't go Ed! They will kill you and eat you there!! Just had a neighbor who took his family to NYC on vacation and they never came home!! Now there are a bunch of squatters living at their house who pee on the lawn! Don't go!! Jim
