If I understand your question run gas through it.

Re: Pickling a Alky system
I'm guessing you would have to get some vinegar and some pickling spices and one heck of a big jar...

Re: Pickling a Alky system
Marvel Mystery Oil & WD40 liberally everywhere after blowing out all the lines w/ compressed air. Don't forget to empty the fuel cell COMPLETELY and service the fuel filter if you have one. Don't be in a rush as it will pay off in the long run to take your time and get the lube EVERYWHERE.

Re: Pickling a Alky system
I am not sure about alky carbs, but I can assure you that using Manhattan Oil - Power Plus addtive in your alky will help protect your system. Summit sells the stuff.
I run a Moon tank and a Flying Toilet system, use Power Plus in it , and never drain the system - except during "winter" storage. My fuel tank, filters and many of the fittings are about 19 years old..... The other tips of running gas through the system and dousing everything with lightweight lubes are also very good tips. |
