Default Div. 4 race at No Problem

With the oil fire or blowout problem, I heard No Problem would be closed for while. Anybody heard anything about the upcoming points race in Sept.

I haven't heard anything yet. From what I have been hearing it will more than likely not be capped for the division race. However, Division 4 or NPR has not said anything about the situation affecting the race yet.

Went here:
http://www.newsinferno.com/archives/23159
and found this:
The owner of the No Problem Raceway Park, which sits inside the evacuation area, told DailyComet.com that the blowout is already taking a toll on his business. September is one of the busiest months for the raceway, and a six week closure would be devastating, he said.

It appears that they will try and kill the well from above starting Monday. Hope it works. See this article http://www.2theadvocate.com/news/asc...101206889.html

On another forum someone said Steve Kent's company had been hired to kill the well. If that is true he might double time it to get Pat back in operation and us racing...

This was posted on another thread by Pat on Thursday.
...........................................
NO OIL on our track property. Fortunately, we have been getting more than our share of a northerly breeze (sand yes Loretta, the well is a mile south). It appears that the well was being completed after the drilling rig was removed, and the firm experianced a greater than expected well pressure. (THAT MEANS THEY GOT PLENTY OF GAS UNDERGROUND)

We will be back in Louisiana on Friday night and will get a better update on Saturday.

Watched the news tonight on tv and they said it could take up to 6 weeks. Sure hope not, I'm ready to go back racing at my hometrack.
