The new standard is that you need to run at least your index to take a class win on a single.

We just flat out missed the change and apologize for the confusion. The reports will be corrected.

Well, it rained pretty good early this morning. NHRA has been working on the track since about 5 or 6 this morning. It's sprinkling lightly right now, but they still have the track dryer going. Probably will be a while before any cars go down the track. My guess is they will start with the pro's whenever the track is ready.

Jack (&Toby) great reporting, keeps us guys who are cold and staying indoors interested. Did you adjust your clock to west coast time or staying on east coast time? Would be interesting to see if you stayed awake until 9pm west coast time and got up at 4am? I guess the winter is getting to me. Good luck and keep on with the great reports.

I spoke with him earlier this month over this, and was told that you no longer needed to run .5 under your index to win class. Danny Gracia should be there as well, so either of them could be asked about this, but as I recalled if you ran your index or quicker, that was enough to be a class winner, and that was from Bruce himself.

Added note to talking with him...notice that in the records section that the minimum e.t. required for those unset class records are only 2 tenths quicker than our new indexes! I was also told that they're going to be under review this year as well....
