Re: What class???
The 1988 breaks at 14.09, making it a natural M/SA that can run L and N also. It's 225 HP factory, NHRA de-rated to 215. The 1993 breaks at 13.49, making it a natural K/SA, that can also run J and L. It's 205 factory rated, NHRA rated at 220.

Re: What class???
You're welcome Bob. Also, if you live in an area with a few IHRA and Stock/Super Stock combo races, you can run them in IHRA Pure Stock, it's cheaper and easier. The 1988 would fit G/PS (also can run F and H) and the 1993 fits F/PS (can run E and G). Slicks OK, mufflers required or stock manifolds, less engine and chassis mods than a traditional Stocker.

Re: What class???
Certain combinations have received HP adjustments over the years from NHRA, either lower or higher than factory, based on past performance. It gets rediculous at times, though, factoring by body type, transmission, hood etc. Example, a 1999-2002 LS-1 may have a different rating in different cars based on year of car, ram air vs flat hood, stick vs auto, whatever combination ran fast enough to "trigger" the HP evaluation. A 1966 Nova 283 may be rated 223 and a 1966 Belair/Biscayne 283 may be 226, because a racer ran fast with a "big" car.
