Congrads are in order as Gene lasted out the elements in stock down at the rock to earn a entry in the TOC. Nice to see a real nice racer get in.

Gene was one of my picks in Stock to make it into the Tournament. He had been very close before with Runner Up at Richmond. He has raced at the Rock many times. I'm glad he's in (for whenever or however it will be done). I think the Tournament for Champion is a good idea, but the SportsNational, Summit All-Star, Super Series, was just too much for the same cold weather weekend.

Yes, I broke out against Gene in Round 1 @ Richmond, had him but took too much stripe he then went on to have a great day. I was sorely tempted to do the 800 plus mile tow down to NC for the SN, but kid commitments, and sanity allowed me to stay home and rake leaves. Tried to sell the kids on the "it can't rain three nights of fire in a row can it?" Epping, MIR, the rock? They weren't sold. The weather will destroy any of the best laid plans!
