Race car insurance
I know there has been a thread on this before, but I am to lazy to dig that deep. In light of Dons accident, I more than ever realize I need to insure my race car. I am checking with Bill Lutz. I cant remember any others at this point. Please help. I know of stock racer Dick Kincaid, but need a contact. Who do you guys have?
Thanks

Re: Race car insurance
I just purchased insurance through Bill Horton who was very good to work with. Too much invested to have idiots run into it. Hopefully I won't run into theirs also. Their insurance covers everything in the pits, return road and staging lanes and when being stored and transported. $520 plan covers 50K with a 1K deductible. You only have to put 25% down and then a 9 month payment plan.
You just have to provide a detailed parts list and a few pics of the car and their parts and you'll be all set. Here is his contact info. Bill Horton Stone Insurance Agency 88 State St Meriden CT 06450 www.dragracersinsurance.com 203 238 7400 x233 203 630 6370 Fax

Re: Race car insurance
I have also contacted Bill and the prices are very good. Thank you for the information.
However, they don't offer on-track insurance, so we are still shopping around. Here is another one you can try. They offer coverage for racecars on-track, off-track, storage, and transportation, and their rates are very reasonable. They also offer coverage for trailers and contents. I believe there is a limit for the 1/4 mile E.T., so this company may not work for everyone. http://www.racecarinsurance.net/ Last edited by Suni; 04-07-2009 at 08:11 AM. Reason: more info |
