Angry Div. 3 rain - 0ut

Seems a little odd to me that they could run the alcohol cars Monday and send the rest of us home. Twice the tow money already , two weekends shot with no set date to try again. Rick Winchester 3277.

I didn't hear any announcements made about the alcohol cars staying when they called it off on Sunday. Then someone who lives close posted on another site yesterday that he heard the cars making runs. Was that eliminations, or just people staying over to test? If Monday was a viable back-up option this weekend, why wasn't it last weekend? I understand that you can't control the weather, but it's *because* of that fact that I would've greatly preferred to have utilized the entire weekend that we had available to us, instead of just 5 hours on Saturday. We were left with no wiggle room. Rainouts are always going to suck. That part is understandable. The only thing you can do is try to make it suck a little less for as many people as you can.

Edit - I now see the note on the Div. 3 site about alky cars staying. That was not announced over the PA when they called the race.

Granted, tough to make informed decisions when you have a forecasts that are repeatedly way off...

I will say that the crew did a great job trying to stay ahead of/ with the rain. They made every effort to keep the track in a managable state so if the rain would stop, it would be a timely clean up. Props to the crew for their efforts.

Did they say when they were going to make an announcement? If it is going to be at Chicago do you think they would start on Thursday? Need to request vacation asap if so.
