Talking Shout Out to Peidmont Dragway

To all sportsman racers dont forget about Piedmont Dragway . I had forgot just how good of a track Piedmont is . And what makes it even better is the people in charge . Track operator Gilmer Hinshaw and track manager Kevin Shipman .

They lets us come in there and make some hits saturday after leaving Charlotte to work on my cars . The track was running a Mopar day with street cars and a few racers . The track was incredible .

On my first hit my car had a 1.24 60ft went 5.47 @128 mph . I had several more hits and work out my issues with my cars . Everyone at the track went out of there way to help us out .

It was great experience and I would encourage anyone who needs to test to give Kevin a call at the track . You wont find a better hooking track anywhere and the operators are first class .

Gilmer , Kevin and staff thanks again

Also and big thanks to" Uncle Roy Hill" for making the call for us

I've always enjoyed myself at Piedmont. I'm sure alot of it is the track and alot of it is the people running the track.

We were there last Thursday night on a test and tune and had a string of 1.35's on a 9in Radial in a 3300lbs car, the track was taking everything we threw at it and then some! I must say we are very lucky to live 45 minutes away!

The whole crew in general does an excellent job! Between Rico and Herb Jr The crowd is always on there feet! The bathrooms are stupid nice too! We will deff. Continue to support this track!

Always my best 60' times year after year. This year at the pro-am after 2 days of hurricane like down pours the track crew came around with bales of wheat straw so we could get our cars loaded and motorhome back on the pavement. Things like that are appreciated and not forgotten.

They went over and beyond at that pro am race. From that day forward we decided to support that track no matter what! That was a class act weekend!

I agree, I will make it a point to attend their pro am events and door car races just for what they did for us that weekend. Only improvement I can think of is to move the track 3 1/2 hours east.

We had the pleasure of doing a tire test there. Gilmer, Kevin, T.L. and the rest of the staff do a great job on making this track a place that people want to race at. The grounds are well manicured, bathrooms are beautifully tiled, the track has real teeth, and it has a family grandstand without alcohol or pets. We plan on racing there in the future.
