Has anybody tried mixing Sunoco race fuel (STANDARD) 110
octane with a gasoline about 92 octane with a 50/50 mix? If so how did it perform? I have a 350 H/SA with about 10:00-1 compression. Thanks |

I have done it in a street car. Works fine. It will not pass fuel check for stock.

Mixed fuel will not pass IHRA or NHRA fuel check . That's true of blending two or more brands of race gas together , or mixing race gas with pump gas. The specs used by fuel check are for specific fuels . You tell the tech man what brand and what octane you have and he checks your sample against the specs for that particular brand and octane .

If you don't have to worry about passing a fuel check , mixing good quality premium with a good race gas works fine .
