3rd gen camaro hood

Does anyone know what years,if any, that 1982-1992 Camaros had functional air inlets in the factory hoods?

82-late 84-- I have a hood with all the functional flap hardware, Great condition NO delamination etc can send u pix if u r interested---- $125 u pick it up Northern Ill--comp 387

wasn't there a factory aluminum or fiberglass hood as well?

I have BOTH hoods they are known as SMC sheet molded composite hoods kinda a fiberglass I guess---Both hoods are in excellent condition if you are interested in either one let me know--They are for sale CHEAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! comp387

Supposedly there where Aluminum hoods made but I have never come across one. As far as the SMC(fiberglass) hoods they where mostly used on the crossfire injection cars as far as I know.

Standard Z28 had the NON functional hood the LU5 engines used the operational flap hood--Comp

If I remember correctly aluminum came on the 82 - 83 4 cylinder and according to the GM parts catolog the composite were available 84 - 86
