Run 8.22 and nobody likes your burnout. Gee. Whatever you did, it obviously worked. And the starter was obviously ok, and he has the say. Case Closed Nice job Charlie. I think somebody didn't like the way you pulled the stick either, but such is life. Probably didn't like the camo color. Too dark/light. Again nice job.

[QUOTE=charlie westcott;224965]If you all want to start a class action letter about my burnout, than get started on it. I pulled out of the water cause the guy sprayed the hose in the box EVERY TIME a car pulled out of it, I never got the tires to hook out of the water once unless I went forward more than normal. The track was cold, and the water trailed 6 feet out of the box. I think its funny that people want to bitch about this, and I have seen 2 or 3 hemi cars this year go 150+ with no parachutes on, and that doesnt seem to be an issue. One of them won a race this year.
I won a piece of paper.

Charlie,
You don't have to explain anything. Congratulations. Your hard work paid off.

way too much water in the burnout box.
Exactly. Fix that, and everything else becomes a non-issue.

I assume that would go the same for Opens.

No qualifying sheet from this race? Anybody getting horsepower?
Mike, I guess we better not even think about doing something like that!!!

Years ago, at the PRI show, I asked Aaron Polburn if I would get thrown out for doing a burnout past the starting line, and then having a girl back me up. He thought for a moment and said, "I'd PAY you to do it!" I told him the first one was free.
