And if your DP came with Dodge A-100 seats, you would still buy and drive it.

Not what I said, Clutch This.

What I said was , rather than lobbying for The Expenditure of The Week, if you have a weak , or problem area, fix it . If you need a slot for a Y harness or crotch strap to make it line up in a safe manner , do it professionally, and no tech man is going to say anything. Nobody is going to look under your seat cover to see if you strengthened something up.
Of course, a 3 time World Champion would know that, wouldn't he?

So either you're Kevin Helms, you're Greg Stanfield,...or you're full of crap..

We'll let the readers be the judge...

Mark,
He did'nt say what he was 3X world champ of?
I don't think he's Stanfield, correct me if I'm wrong but I think Stanfield won 4 in SS and he was automatic in SS,or was it 3 SS and 1 PS/T?

My car regularly goes over 130 and I don't want the seat rule changed

I take the responsibility to make sure my seat is secured and my belts are tight and my safety equipment correct and I am more confident with the factory seat than many of the aftermarket seats that are often mounted poorly. Looking at some of these seats makes me realize that weight is the primary reason for installing them, not safety. Sure there are some good ones, but not many are safer than a good stock one.

1970 camaro seat
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/211898...ro#21189830011

Aftermarket seat

Would a seat like the second one as a replacement really detract from the stock look? They seem to be made a lot better than the originals

Yak,

You are wasting your time talking to a bunch of Johnny come lately, no name strokes who want to mold Stock Eliminator into their vision.........

Valve springs, cams, rocker arms, transmissions, brakes, pistons, rods, pans, wheelie bars, fuel cells, trunk mounted batteries, any rear end, 2 steps, 3 steps, 4 steps (I lost count), aluminum heads, larger replacement carbs, clutch-less transmissions with slipper clutches and now seats (I know that I missed a lot of rule enhancements)..........

How about that dangerous window glass that should be replaced by Lexan or those dangerous hoods that should be replaced with fiberglass because they are only held in place by a 40 year old hood latch??????????????

When will you guys stop screwing up Stock???????????

You don't like the rules, take a hike and go to another eliminator and change that rather than ruining Stock.......

I am sick and tired of all of the self-serving, know nothing, no name strokes that showed up the day before yesterday ruining Stock.......
