If I didn't take my hand off the shifter it would slip into 3rd some times when the spring would move the handle to the right for the next gate. Just don't want to think about it. Had no problem selling it! The Precision shifter never fails! And looks cool! Pushed the buttons myself for a couple of years. Never had a problem!

50 year old push buttons never missed a shift or fell out of gear including 1-2 shift
with wheels in the air

Hi Jim, yeah, same here. My 50 year old pushbuttons had 98K on them when I got the car in 71. I leave the line with my thumb on the second gear button, not possible to miss a shift. I cant figure out why people put floor shifters in pushbutton cars.
