The car that I wish I had back was my first car. I special ordered it new from a Chevrolet dealer. It was a 1970 Chevelle 454 450 HP LS6 Chevelle. I was Green Mist Metallic, Cowl inducted hood, 4:10,PS, PB, Gauges, AM-8Track, automatic transmission with a black bench seat interior. I raced this car in pure stock at New England Dragway form 1970 thru 1972. I always ran class eliminations and still have the trophies. In October 1970 I took the national record for AHRA in both speed and ET at 13.74 ET and 106.76 in A/SA. That record in AHRA was never broken.

I have owned about 125 different cars since 1976. Most of them, I had because they were the type of vehicles that I have a genuine interest in. However, of all, there are only two that I absolutely regret selling... and even knew it at the time.
In 1988, I assembled my old beater 1948 Ford 3 passenger ( businessmans ) coupe, with a pretty stout 59A flathead, Offy bell housing, using a wide ratio BW T10 4 speed, coupled to a 57 Chev rear end ( previous owner had drag raced the car at some point ). On December 17th, 1991, I delivered and sold that car to a fellow in Leduc Alberta, while on my way to pick up my 1935 Ford 3W coupe ( needed the money to help pay for it ). Should have found another way. The other... a 1961 Canadian Pontiac Parisienne sport coupe, factory 348, PS, PB, posi rear, which I converted to a 4 speed. Sold it to a fellow in Ontario on October 4th, 2001. It was just a driver, needing full restoration. but I had no money in it. By FAR the best investment I ever made in a car.
