Re: RIP Terry Pearson
I want to send my condolences to the Peason family. Always sad to hear about another racers passing.
Anyone know how old Terry was, I never had the pleasure of meeting him?

Re: RIP Terry Pearson
Very sad news for Terry's family, friends and the racing community. Terry was one of the good guys and there has never been a more dedicated SS racer.
I want to share a few things about Terry as he didn't talk alot as we all know. In about '74 Terry was still living in Minnesota and advertised his record holding SS/MA '69 Chevelle in National Dragster. The late ML Tomlin agree to buy the car and we met Terry at the Phenix City track, tested the car and closed the deal. The car ran fast and Terry left with an empty trailer and said he was going to Mobile for a visit, I'm pretty sure he had a friend with him that was from the Mobile area. As far as I know Terry never moved back to Minnesota from that date. Mr. Tomlin sold the Chevelle to Harvey Emmons II in about '75 and they still have it. Jimmy Parker |

Re: RIP Terry Pearson
I remember Terry from his Div. 5 days when he lived in Rapid City, S.D. He and Ron Thorson ran black and white Oldsmobiles (Mother Skunk and Father Skunk) before switching to Chevys with Herman Chapman motors. I went to Indy one year with Terry and helped him on his yellow SS/JA '67 Camaro ragtop. Years later, after he had moved to Alabama, we ran into each other at the Green Valley, Texas track at a Div. 4 NHRA points race.
We are diminished. -Al |

Re: RIP Terry Pearson
God speed Terry, and prayers of comfort for the family. I did not know Terry well, but met him while being at the races. He was an asset to the sport, a friend to all that met him, and more than willing to help a fellow racer when in need. The sport of drag racing as well as his friends will greatly miss him.
