Talking Re: Chris D. the Hero!

Thank you all:.. Hero I think not... More like another concerned racer looking out for my racing family..... I did the same thing anyone else in the drag racing coo unity would have done... As far as what exactly happened when we detained him .... The official story is we detained him with force because he was resisting is and repededly kept trying to escape capture.... For the record.... And any eye witness can verify ..... I kept yelling at him to stay down on the ground... He was not listening and I had to force him back down until the proper authorities arrived.... That's my story and I am sticking to it....

I guess Chris is a "race fan", and not "fellow competitor" as he should have been listed. I guess they had to dumb the article down for the NASCAR fans reading the story...

Good catch Chris. I'm sure we can all agree that it's a shame he had to do something in the first place.

My dad and I got stuck pitting in the outer lot one year at Epping (1990). As Sunday went on more and more rigs left and the spaces were filled by spectator vehicles. He won SG that year and when we finally got back to our pit after the round-robins it was just our rig and the cars and not one damn thing missing...

I wonder if this is the same guy that stole cash and credit cards from my son and others at the Atlanta Nationals a couple years ago. I think several others had cash and cards stolen at the same race. Ask Sherman he or some of his friends got hit also.
