Re: Grade points at Div...
I found out the hard way in 2008 that if you enter your car as owner and have someone else drive that only the driver gets the grade point. That sucked.

Plus how many classes can you enter at a divisional?

Re: Grade points at Div...
You have to go through tech to get a grade point. Up until you turn in your tech card no one knows you have entered. You don't need to make any runs. You will end up with 10 points and one grade point for each entry.

Re: Grade points at Div...
Cool, someone suggested, or rather when we talked it came to mind "Super Street" with the SRT8......
Ill give it a "try" 2 Challengers 2 entries......twice the dent in the pocketbook, but 2 GP at once is worth is. Super street not ET was what I was trying to think of. We still cant figure out if your car dosent pass tech do you still get the GP ? |

Re: Grade points at Div...
You know I think youre right now that you say that, I read it in the rules....well at least 2 of us then can grab a point at the same event if nothing else.
Thanks.....I just looked it up.....youre right, nice catch. " A competitor compete in any other category at that event.entered in Super Street at any national or divisional event may not " |

Re: Grade points at Div...
Can you just hand in a properly filled out tech card without having a car present?

Re: Grade points at Div...
From the rulebook....
" A competitor entered in Super Street at any national or divisional event may not compete in any other catergory at that event." :-) |

Re: Grade points at Div...
I tried to get a grade point at the 2003 Speedworld open . The DD ,(Charlie Tuna) told me I had to tech and get on the ladder.
I had to put a driveshaft loop on a real street car that was 4 seconds off the index. I had to pass fuel too, so I opened the hood reached under the fenderwell, and magically produced a good sample of C -12 . Of course, after all of that , I found a former Div Champ next to me in the lanes with a stone stock Chevy P/U, no loop, no nothin'. So it all depends on the Division and the DD. I'm sure it's all in the big secret book they carry around, but you and I don't ever get to see what's in it.
