Your charts show 10 different combos, that means 50 cars per kit car combo must be sold, that's 500 cars. Or am I missing something here? Have a good holiday. JC |

Your missing something alright. You do not need to have 50 combo's for each class.
And its not my chart, it came right from Ford Racing. Not sure where your going with your questions, I think your need to email NHRA if you want more answers. I was asked to post the numbers not defend them. Have a Merry Christmas |

Jim Carter,
It's stated as "50 units of an already accepted body style" It's now the body, not the drivetrain. Like it or not, NHRA now has a crate motor class. I wonder if it will stop here? I doubt it. I assume we will have something like IHRA's crate motor class, even if a motor is an electrical device and an engine is what we run in our race cars. ![]()

What are these engines...complete and direct from the Ford-dealer?..with the car or do you build them? all ford parts or Edelbrock top ends? Roller or hyd cams? inj. or carbs ? valve sizes etc...

All you guys forget about when the LT1 came out it was rated at 275hp now it rated at 346hp a 71hp increase talk about soft when it came out. What about the LS1 how many hp has it got in the last ten years.
And what about all the soft olds and buicks from the 80's when GM was in charge of hp just about. Now it's fords turn so shut up and race, every dog has it day. If combos are not soft when they first come out no one will build them. This is not something new it has been going on for 40 plus years. So if you don't like it stop racing, deal with it and work on you ***** or build a ford if it's so easy. How many of you people crying race more then 4 NHRA races a year anyway? I know Greg hill races more then four but Greg is always complaining about something (Ha Ha) Merry Christmas buddy see you in Jan. Chuck D good luck to all my I/SA,J/SA& K/SA competitors next year you will need it. If it's not heads up then it's not cool. ![]()

Does this mean I can put an L-88 in my Chevelle? I think GM sold at least 50 Chevelles in any given year. What's good for the goose... |
