Re: Cornhusker Raceway Park
You can call Jim Howe at 402-306-5015 and he can advise as to who will be there.
It is on the schedule. In addition to the geezer races, there will be a true box and no box gambler if you want to play for real. Clark |

Re: Cornhusker Raceway Park
My boss is going to show his car, a 1967 SS 350 Camaro that was built into a drag car in 1969 and raced at Cornhusker, Scribner , Thunder Valley and has even made a few trips down the track at Mid America Motorplex for Friday night street races. His car is nicknamed Capn Crunch's Super Camaro. Not sure if he plans to race as he has a few more things he needs to do before its race ready

Re: Cornhusker Raceway Park
Everytime I run across a photo of a car that has raced at Cornhusker I try and add it where it belongs, on this forum. If anyone has photos of the track, cars that have raced and people that have driven or had something to do with midwest drag racing in the late 60s early 70s I invite you to add your photos here, that way all of can enjoy them

Re: Cornhusker Raceway Park
Well, it is pretty much official, we will not be going back to the Geezers race. Both cars are ready, but we have had way too many unexpected expenses recently.....
I hope everyone has a great time..............and I certainly would like to be there....maybe next year, God willing.

Re: Cornhusker Raceway Park
Real good. 750 spectators. 8 nostalgia gassers. 3 front engine dragsters. Nitro Madness just went 4.19. Rd2 for box no box up in 20 mins. Gonna be a late night.

Re: Cornhusker Raceway Park
My boss Steve Britten raced his 67 Camaro, nicknamed Capn Crunch Super Camaro. Alot of the old school racers remembered the car from back in the day. Tom Grosso even got on the loud speaker when my boss brought the car into the staging lanes, and announced the return of a peice of midwest racing history. It was very cool.
