And how often do we see "cubic dollars$$$" come into the game, hang around for a couple of years and find another game to spend their "cubic dollars$$$" in (boats, planes, street rods)?
Cubic talent*** sticks around if for no other reason than to take advantage of the "cubic dollars$$$"! Back to indexing cranks.

I can't see much index correction by grinding.
My example a 3.5 inch stroke crankshaft will have a 10.9956 inch travel of the centerline of the throw in 1 revolution. Divide that by 360 to show what the movement is for 1 degree and you get .03054 or a little over 30 thousands. So if you ground that journal to correct a crank that was off 1 degree, it would take over .060 to get that 1 degree. It may sound like the .060 is double, but keep in mind that you only move the center of the throw half of what you take off the one side of the journal . Please correct me if I missed something here
