Yeah, I was writing the line about better cars, and thinking what would be smaller, lighter etc. Thought of the Fox and then I actually had one. We ran V normally but we wanted to take advantage of the altitude correction at Tucson, with the turbo , so we did the U deal there.
Anyway ...Sounds like we may have a reunion going here..How about Paul Wong? The Witch Doctor? Koski?....

How about this combo in a 66 nova. R/S 283/195/164 3122# 13.95 index
Have a nice 66 nova x stocker.
12 bolt slapper bars calvert shocks drum brakes no roll bar
Have 283 parts 2 barrel manifolds couple nova blocks complete 2 barrel nova core motor clutch trans. etc.
Living in Denver if we ever have a track here again probrably not good altitude deal!
I dont know why these slower class combos interest me.

I can go further under on the mountain with a stick 2 bbl than I can at sea level. The flywheel and RPM are the equalizer. At 164 hp its not 302 ford good but a good combination.

Rocky. Two things matter, not conventional wisdom.

1) NHRA hp factor
2) Paul Wong has a lot of altitude 2 bbl stocker runs under his belt. He knows

Check with Bill Sempsrott.I'm pretty sure he set a record with that combo.
