Most of the 60’s Mustang guys are cutting the front side of the wheel opening and adding a new wheel lip to look stock. (I did that on my super street car) This car I wanted to keep as stock as possible for re-sale if someone wants to return it to the street. I did use a BFH before body work and paint to massage the opening and clearance the inner wheel wells. I have 5” back spacing on the centerline wheels that cleared everything until I put the Cal Trac leafs on which are a little wider than stock. (Needs a .250 spacer now)

I can run the 30x9 radials but didn’t want to spend the money on them without some comments if they truly are no growth?
The smaller tires get me out to the track for TnT purposes so I can sort out the car. I may be stuck with them so I would be curious how much ET I might be giving up.
