Santhuff would be my first choice. I have them on my car and they control the bounce perfectly on my Gen 1 Camaro. Afco would be my second choice. I have known some racers that took the Afco shocks off and replaced with Santhuff because the Afco didnt satisfy them on the bounce control.

and I know racers that have thrown their santhuffs in the weeds and Afco’s BNC instantly fixed their bouncing landings. Just watch my videos, there is NO bounce.

I bought a pair of Santhuffs last year from Marty Reinhart. Expensive, yes, BUT, Afco BNC would not stop my Camaro from bottoming out, even after sending them back to Afco 6 times for re-valving. As soon as I installed the Santhufs shocks and landrum springs that Marty recommended, the car was doing 80 foot wheel stands, but lands like its on a cloud. They are the only shock I will run on my Camaro. Call Marty, he will inform you to make a good quality decision.

Which weeds are these?.....I'll snag them.....I like my santhuffs for my mopars, but I must say those Afco's are a very attractive blue, remind me of my bmx days...

My BNCs are about 13 years old and were rebuilt last winter by Ben Baker from Afco and I purchased new chrome springs too. My rear Afco shocks and springs are also brand new and too installed last winter, replacing the Afco's installed by MPR when the car was built in 2004. 20 years of trouble free service and they were never rebuilt. ![]() Last edited by 1320racer; 01-19-2024 at 03:59 PM. |
