I know next nothing about the GM200 but my guess is a stuck valve.
Try draining and replacing the ATF and filter with fresh.
When you remove the pan and filter, if you see lots of metal and debris just take it out and see what broke.

Typos aside, how many "back ups" on the unit? Did it ever slip when backing up, especially uphill? How many frictions in the low/rev?
One possibility that's easy ..All the rest, out she comes.

Pulled the pan had some stuff on the magnet so we just pulled it. Now who does a good job on 200s in the midwest? We know nothing about this trans or converter so i guess it time to find out. Tom

Jeff Nibaur in Elma IA.,he went through mine years ago,worked great.He runs a 71 Chevelle in B/SA.I lost his contact info over the years,Chris Knudsen knew him well...gsa612

Tim Wudarzyck, Kansas. Does an excellent job. They run a Stock & Super Stock car. He's up to date on 200's, as good as your going to find.
