Yep same engine, this car-engine has been available for 8 years, in 15 (Scat Pac-SRT) it went to the eight speed auto. It is a total blast to drive, very comfortable
and it gets 24 mpg. Very heavy car (4000 lbs+). These new cars are unbelievable, I had a 70-1/2 Z28 (new) and the best it every went was 13.90 and I thought it was fast.
