Wondering how many other teams had their welders out last night....
Guessing these weren't just installed for INDY.. thinking maybe all previous points should be swept away all winnings should also be paid back and split evenly to all competitors he's put on the trailer throughout the year... allowing him to weld it and continue shouldn't be allowed IMHO... this is why "everyone" cheats and stock/SS have gotten so far out of hand.. Once one car was found to be illegal every car should have been checked for the same infraction, same day. Doubt this actually happened. Kudos if it did. Brad Hawk |

He should be out! So what if he welded them now. They are set exactly where they need to be for the track...

Inspection = Implies 100% of the population.
Audit = Random sampling of the population. Every car should go through a basic safety inspection prior to making any passes. If resources are limited, which NHRA claims they are, a technical audit should be incorporated into the safety inspections. In such a scenario, as cars are being inspected for safety, randomly selected cars would also be audited for visual conformance to general technical guidelines / policies. I say visual and general because this is not the time or place for tearing into engine, etc. Just my $0.02

What do they say? "It's only cheating, if you get caught".
