I was at the first Top Stock race contested @ IHRA Norwalk Raceway. Very entertaining to watch. A, B and C cars all raced at B weight. IMO, later on the Manufactures got involved and soon they wrecked the class.

What ever happened to Joe Aloeise (sp?) and the "Tiger Car"? Thay made the long tow from the East Coast, to Mission Raceway two years in a row when the "First Stocker in the 9s" battle was raging on, have not anything about them since.

I loved Top Stock when it was run at the Dutch several years ago. However, the Dutch always has a very aggressive schedule that will now include an additional category with Top Stock. For me, class eliminations in Stock and/or Super Stock are the highlight of any event that I attend. At this year's Dutch, class was cancelled due to the likelihood of rain on Sunday morning. With Top Stock now added to the schedule; a similar situation becomes even more likely. I know that the Index classes are part of Maple Grove's program; but to make the schedule more manageable, I feel that they should be dropped from the Dutch.
