Ring do not want to break in properly and never really want to seal despite the
best and meticulous break in on several engines in five tries despite 20 or 25 runs with quality non synthetic oil prior to removal. A top qualifier last year at Winters in stock ( A Premier West Coast Engine Builder) went through several sets with the same results in the same time frame. Never a issue with Tri City race rings (Gregg Luneauk) and our cars are fast and last a lot of runs. My older boys Stocker qualified .97 under today in bracket mode at Winters. A 100 plus heavy with a full 200 passes on the short block ( Believe me it has plenty more performance left in it!) and still leaks down great! My blocks are prepared by the absolute best Drag Racing machinists in California...... all Divisional and National Event Champion and I had multiple problems with Total Seal. This was some years ago.....perhaps they have been changed over the year. Thanks Carl: I sure you are Absolutely right = That must be the problem........ I do not know what I am doing that explains a lot for me!
