Re: Fuel Pressure Gauge: Electrical vs. Mechanical w/isolato
Turns out I saved the email.
Q: I'm getting to the point where I have to decide which gauges I'll mount on the dashboard. My questions is for small gauges like fuel pressure and/or brake pressure do I have the option of mounting the gauges in front of the windshield, on the outside, or do they have to be on or under the dashboard? A: They must be mounted inside the car. |

Re: Fuel Pressure Gauge: Electrical vs. Mechanical w/isolato
And I was looking over stocker pictures from Sonoma, and there were a few that clearly had gauges mounted outside the car.
Clearly some are setting the gauges up in front of the windshield. But I'll stick with what Pat told me. Maybe other NHRA tech guys disagree. I don't see it clearly spelled out in the rules anywhere. |

Re: Fuel Pressure Gauge: Electrical vs. Mechanical w/isolato
Dave, it's perfectly A OK to run a fuel pressure gauge on the outside of the car. As you can clearly see, numerous racers have this setup. In the future you might want to consider asking someone other than PAT C. any questions pertaining to Stock Eliminator. Regards, .....M.J.
