Who would have guessed it would go this far and become the history lesson it has?

Killer about the book deal.

If it becomes a movie can I be Charlie Castaldo? We share the same name and he was mentioned a couple hundred times throughout this adventure so I could get some good screen time.

That bucket list of mine still has you at a tie for #1 with a trip to Frank Hawley's school.

I wonder what the next big adventure is going to be? Going to take something special to top this one
.
Thanks for letting me be a part of it!

It's been a hellofa ride for sure Charlie. Thankyou for the good words, but it wasn't me that made this what it is today. I just threw the tool out there. It's been everyone who has contributed to this that has made it what it is today. Lots of great stuff has transpired over a very short time span. Met many great people because of it ,both here, & because of here. Hopefully, I'll have the opportunity to put a face to the internet alias's by a shake of a hand one day.

Cheers!!!!!

Photo by Geoff Stunkard. The smiles say it all. It was a very successful shake down on the new elfhunt . Thankyou for sharing this picture on my facebook page Geoff. You can never turn back the hands of time. A very special moment for me indeed. I am glad you were there to capture the moment!!!

That decal on the vent glass is an original, not a reproduction, personally given to me by Dick durring his visit up here a few years ago. I have a couple of those left over autographed by the "Dandy" One. Definitely one of those " REALLY COOL" items for me.

Sadly, we lost Stewart. Joe Pappas posted on the Moparts thread. Farewell my friend, say hey to Ronnie Sox and Donnie Carlton for us. I know you were quite fond of Donnie as you called him. Thank you for your friendship and all the posters and CDs you gave me over the years and the BBQ too!

Thanx for hangin' in there. It's been a long road for sure. I've looked through literally thousands of pics over time in the hopes of finding something of resemblance to my car. That one pic of the Dented Dart at least put a definite origin of it. with the detective work from Paul C, he was able to attach a name of Pete Marzec to it through information from Pete's friend Al Ripolla. The trail has kinda ended there tho.
But like Charlie said, there's a huge gap from late 68 to early 80's where this car just doesn't show up anywhere. Don't understand that one, xept it must of been parked in some guys garage. The search continues.........................

Here's a pic. of a LO23 from day1 showing the Hurst modded wheel well. For anyone who is trying to replicate this, put the pic on an overhead projection & enlarge it till the wheel diameter is 15" & you'll have a pretty accurate template.
