Talking Re: History Repeats itself

It was indeed Terry Hoard and his Samurai Warrior. He had a couple over the years. I remember the final round of Modified at Seattle, late '70s,, maybe '80, Hoard was paired up against the mighty Opel of David Hutchens, From Wayne County Speed Shop, which was tearing it up all around the country that year. Terry gets the huge, ear splitting head start and here comes Hutchens, wheels uo, banging the gears, hauling tail and mowing him down. Problem is,, somebody forgot to tell Terry, and he got the win light, holding off the Opel! The place went nuts as you might imagine,,, still one of the more memorable races I ever saw in Modified Eliminator,, a class I wish they'd never gotten rid of. My 2 cents.
