There are a lot of aftermarket suspension systems with fabricated cross members and lower control arms; however, they are not allowed even if you send a request for approval. They will not even allow an aftermarket cross member with the OEM upper/lower control arms.
However, if you build a FWD, that is a different story and they allow fabricated components in accordance to the rules.
Just check out some of the FWD cars with 25.3 and 25.5 SFI chassis and you will notice they are the closest thing to a Comp car.

Thanks, that is my point and I would like it to fit into A/SM comp also, very similar front end rules (at least typed out rules)
Guess that's why the FWD conversions are popular
