I wonder if it would be legal to use v-band type flanges and clamps at each junction much like boosted cars run on the hot and cold side of their induction/exhaust systems. Surely with a welded v-band flange and clamp on the end of my collector where it goes into the extension, this would not require a tether - or would it?

I believe NHRA is worried about the tabs that are welded on
might break and lose the collector, that's why the tether is connected from the collector to the primary pipe. I bought a roller that had a headers come with the car and both headers had one tab broke lose on each header. Email your tech director for the right answer. |
